Electric Technics Ltd Achieves 100% Pass Rate in Annual NICEIC Assessment

Electric Technics Ltd has successfully completed its latest annual NICEIC assessment, achieving a 100% pass rate with no non-conformities raised.
It is a result we are extremely pleased with and one that reflects the work our team puts in throughout the year.
The annual assessment is an important part of maintaining our status as an NICEIC-approved contractor. It involves much more than simply checking a few documents or looking at one completed job. The inspector reviews how electrical work is managed across the business, from the initial planning and design stages through to installation, testing, certification and completion.
Our technical records, test results, working procedures and internal systems were all examined as part of the process. The inspector also reviewed examples of work carried out by our electricians to confirm that the installations had been completed safely, correctly and in line with the relevant requirements.
Completing the assessment without any non-conformities means that no issues were identified that required correction or further action.
What Is an NICEIC Assessment?
NICEIC is one of the best-known certification bodies within the UK electrical industry. Contractors registered with NICEIC are assessed regularly to make sure they continue to meet the required technical and safety standards
For customers, this provides an additional level of reassurance when choosing an electrical contractor. It shows that the contractor’s work, qualifications, procedures and documentation are independently reviewed rather than simply being based on the company’s own claims.
During an assessment, the inspector may look at areas including electrical installation work, inspection and testing procedures, completed certificates, calibration records, staff competence and the way safety is managed across different projects.
Examples of completed work are also selected and inspected. This allows the assessor to check that the work recorded on certificates matches what has actually been installed on site.
It is a detailed process, and rightly so. Electrical work must be completed carefully, tested correctly and supported by accurate documentation.
More Than Just Passing an Inspection
Although the assessment takes place on a particular day, the result is based on work carried out over the course of the year.
A clean report does not come from making a last-minute effort before the inspector arrives. It comes from following the correct procedures on every project, whether the work involves a small alteration, planned maintenance, fault finding or a larger electrical installation.
Our electricians are responsible for making sure that work is completed to the required standard and tested properly before it is handed over. The wider team also plays an important part by keeping records organised, checking documentation and making sure certificates are completed and stored correctly.
These parts of the job are not always visible to customers, but they are essential.
An electrical installation may look finished from the outside, but the testing, certification and checks completed behind the scenes are what confirm that the work is safe and suitable for continued use.
The assessment also provides us with an opportunity to review our own processes. Even when no problems are found, it is useful to have an experienced independent inspector look at the way we work and confirm that our systems remain suitable.
Working to the Required Standards
The electrical work completed by Electric Technics Ltd is carried out in accordance with the relevant requirements of BS 7671, commonly known as the IET Wiring Regulations.
These regulations cover the design, installation and verification of electrical installations throughout the UK. They are regularly updated to reflect changes in technology, working practices and safety requirements.
Keeping up with these changes is an ongoing responsibility. Our team must remain familiar with the latest requirements and make sure they are applied correctly across the wide range of work we complete.
That includes selecting suitable equipment, installing it correctly, testing the completed work and accurately recording the results.
Achieving no non-conformities during our assessment confirms that the work inspected, along with the supporting records and procedures, met the standards expected of an NICEIC-approved contractor.
A Result for the Whole Team
This result belongs to everyone at Electric Technics Ltd.
It reflects the knowledge and experience of our electricians, the care taken when carrying out installations and testing, and the work completed behind the scenes to keep projects, records and certification in order.
Maintaining high standards requires consistency. It means taking the same level of care on routine jobs as we would on a major project. It also means raising questions when something does not look right, checking work properly and avoiding shortcuts, even when a job is under pressure.
We would like to thank the entire team for their contribution, both in the lead-up to the assessment and throughout the year.
Passing the assessment with no non-conformities is a strong result, but it also sets the standard we want to maintain going forward.
Reassurance for Our Customers
For our customers, the result provides further reassurance that they are working with a contractor whose work and procedures are independently assessed.
Whether we are completing a new electrical installation, carrying out maintenance, investigating a fault or providing inspection and testing services, safety and compliance remain central to the way we work.
We understand that businesses need an electrical contractor they can rely on to complete work properly, communicate clearly and provide the correct documentation once the job is finished.
Our latest NICEIC assessment confirms that the systems we have in place continue to support that approach.
Electric Technics Ltd provides electrical installation, maintenance, testing and project support for customers across a range of commercial and industrial environments.
